WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in the United States on Friday expressed condolences on the passing of Lieutenant General Brent Scowcroft, a two-time U.S. national security advisor and important contributor to China-U.S. relations.
However, their awkward and dirty tricks will fool no clear and rational minds across the world. If those politicians continue moving in the wrong direction, Washington's dwindling credibility will be further eroded and more shame will be brought onto its diplomacy. Enditem
Milan Brglez, member of the European Parliament and the member of leadership of Slovenian Social Democratic Party said he was worried that the signing of the declaration could worsen relations between Slovenia and China.
"The problem was not simply that the nation's chief diplomat was decidedly undiplomatic. Worse was his misrepresentation of history and his failure to suggest a coherent or viable path forward for managing a relationship that more than any other will define this era," he said.

The U.S. government has already turned away members of several foreign delegations, including those from Russia and Iran, to attend the 74th session of the UN General Assembly. It has also restricted the activities of all members of Cuba's permanent mission to the UN.
"The law on safeguarding national security in Hong Kong targets a small number of criminals who gravely jeopardize national security and protects the law-abiding Hong Kong residents, who represent the vast majority," Zhao said.
